If you have never been on a fishing charter before, it is normal to have a few questions. Do we need experience? What is included? What should we wear? This guide walks through a private trip aboard STRIKE 360, from choosing a trip to stepping back onto the dock in Puerto Banús.
1. Choose your trip
STRIKE 360 is booked as a private fishing charter for your group, so every price below is for the whole boat, not per person. You never share a departure with people you do not know.
| Trip | Duration | Boat total | 30% deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Strike | 2 h | €495 | €148.50 |
| Marbella Half Day | 4 h | €795 | €238.50 |
| Offshore Six | 6 h | €1,095 | €328.50 |
| All Day Strike | 8 h | €1,395 | €418.50 |
| Big Game Six | 6 h | €1,295 | €388.50 |
| Big Game Full Day | 8 h | €1,595 | €478.50 |
For a first trip, most people choose the two-hour Quick Strike or the four-hour Marbella Half Day. No fishing experience is needed: the trip is adapted to complete beginners, families and experienced anglers alike. Longer offshore days are a bigger commitment, so if you are unsure how you will feel after several hours at sea, start shorter. Our family fishing guide compares the two shorter options in more detail, and the fishing trip price guide sets out exactly what each price includes.
2. Book and pay the deposit
Pick your trip, date and departure time from the live availability calendar, then pay a 30% deposit through secure Stripe checkout. The deposit is part of the price, not an extra fee: on the €795 half day, for example, the deposit is €238.50 and the remaining €556.50 is paid as set out in the charter terms. Because there is only one STRIKE 360, a departure is blocked for everyone else as soon as your deposit is confirmed.
It is worth knowing the cancellation and weather policy before you book:
- 72 hours or more before departure: full refund of amounts paid, or a free reschedule.
- 24 to 72 hours before: the deposit is retained, but can be converted once into a reschedule credit valid for 12 months, subject to availability.
- Less than 24 hours or no-show: amounts paid are non-refundable.
- Unsafe weather: the skipper decides whether conditions are safe. If we cancel before departure, you choose between a full refund and a free reschedule.
3. Before the day
Use the notes box when you book, or message us on WhatsApp, to tell us about your group: children's ages, previous boating experience, any mobility concerns, a special occasion or the kind of fishing you would like to try. It helps the skipper plan the day and assess what is suitable.
The exact meeting point and boarding instructions for your Puerto Banús fishing charter are sent with your booking confirmation. Puerto Banús can be busy, especially in summer, so allow extra time for traffic, parking and the walk along the marina. Late arrival normally reduces fishing time, so contact us straight away if you think you will be late.

4. On the day: what to expect
When you arrive, the skipper welcomes your group aboard, runs through the safety briefing and explains the plan for the day. The fishing method is chosen around the season, sea state, bait and recent activity: it could be bottom fishing over coastal marks, trolling lures for pelagic fish, jigging, or a mix. Our guide to what fish you can catch in Marbella, month by month explains how this changes through the year. You do not need to know any of this in advance; the skipper sets up the tackle and shows you what to do.
A few things worth knowing:
- Your time includes travel. The booked duration covers the complete trip, including running to and from the fishing areas.
- The skipper has the final say on safety. The route, fishing area or method may change if the weather does. Normal changes in fishing conditions are part of a day on the sea.
- There is a toilet. STRIKE 360 has a private head and a convertible cabin.
- Fish cannot be guaranteed. No honest charter can promise wild fish. What we can promise is a private boat and a plan built around the real conditions.
- Keeping your catch depends on the species and the rules on the day. Minimum sizes, quotas, closed seasons and protected species rules always come first.
5. What is included
- The private STRIKE 360 charter for your group
- Skipper
- Fuel for the booked trip
- Rods, reels, tackle and bait
- Water and soft drinks
- Spanish VAT

6. What to bring: a simple checklist
- Sun protection: high-factor sun cream, a hat and sunglasses. Sunlight reflects off the water, so you can burn faster at sea than on land, and polarised lenses cut the glare.
- Non-slip footwear: trainers or deck shoes with soft, grippy soles. Decks can get wet.
- A light jacket or windproof layer: it is cooler on the water, especially when the boat is moving and in the cooler months.
- Food: bring whatever you would like to eat onboard. Water and soft drinks are included.
- Medication: anything you may need at sea, including motion sickness remedies if you use them.
- Passport or ID if requested for the trip.
- A soft bag rather than a hard case, which is easier to stow on a boat, and a waterproof pouch for your phone if you want photos.
7. What if you get seasick?
Most people are fine on a short trip, but if you know you are prone to motion sickness, a little preparation helps. Get a good night's sleep, eat a light breakfast, and avoid alcohol the night before. If you use seasickness medication, ask a pharmacist for advice, as many remedies need to be taken before departure to work. Onboard, staying in the fresh air and looking at the horizon usually helps. Tell the skipper early: the route and fishing plan can be adjusted where conditions allow.
Can you bring children?
Children are welcome. There is no fixed minimum age advertised; suitability depends on sea conditions, appropriate safety equipment and the skipper's assessment on the day. Please tell us the children's ages before reserving. The two-hour Quick Strike is a good first taste of fishing for younger guests.
